How We Work

Homeowners Cooperative (HC) keeps costs low for homeowner members by leveraging their collective purchasing power to receive contractor pricing from our vendor members. And by growing the number of customers for our vendor members, they can offset their price reductions with more business.

What you get

Use our directory of resources to find just about anything you'll need for your home. And if we don't have the resource, let us know. We'll go out and get it for you. You aren't a single homeowner any longer. You belong to the Cooperative where we can leverage better prices and find the right resources for you.

What we mean by "vendor"

When we refer to "vendors" we are talking about all businesses related to the building industry. That means not only arborists, designers, animal control specialists, electricians, plumbers, roofers- contractors in general-, but also lumberyards, flooring stores, paint stores, tile stores, window stores- you name it. And, if we don't have a vendor or resource you need, contact us. We'll save you the time trying to find what you need.

What we mean by "contractor pricing"

As in most industries, businesses provide different levels of pricing on their products and services to different customers. Homeowners usually pay list or retail price, while people in the building industry (or high-volume clients) receive varying levels of discounts. The levels of discounts are determined by volume. The more a client purchases, the better the pricing. At HC, you aren't just a homeowner making a one-time purchase paying retail. You're part of a larger group that helps increase the volume of business for the participating vendors. We increase their sales, they increase your discounts.

The vendors in our directory are not some large corporation headquartered somewhere around the world. They are all from the Northwest, most just small local businesses. By working with our vendors you are literally helping your neighbors.
