Cooperative Protocols for Contractors

We take care of each other here at Homeowners Cooperative

Being part of our cooperative is hassle-free. But there are a few things you should remember:

Verify memberships
The first thing to do when you are contacted by a Homeowners Cooperative (HC) member is to verify their membership. They will have a membership card with their name and expiration date on it.  If they are calling over the phone, get their name.  We'll be able to verify their membership by contacting us.  Or let them know they need to present it to you when you look at their job. If they don't provide a current or valid card, you don't have to offer them any discounts- feel free to charge them your standard rate.

Show your discounts
We believe it is in your best interests to show your discounts. You can do this by giving them a retail/list price and then their HC price.  This way they know the value of your service and will more likely want to refer you on the Comment page.

Obviously, we believe the better the discount, the more work you'll get.

Grow the membership and grow your business
Make sure people appreciate their membership.  They'll get others to join and so on.  A large homeowner membership means more people are likely to use your services. So be sure to recommend HC when dealing with clients.
